Willa Lumia is 135 m² designed by architect Jouko Rytkönen for this exact spot on the shore of Lake Norvajärvi. The interior is Scandinavian calm meeting the traditional Finnish log house: hand-carved log walls — rare today — quality materials, craftsmanship and design classics.

LIVING AREA

The kitchen, dining area and living room form one open space, so nobody is left out of the conversation. One wall is almost entirely window, framing the lake and the changing Lapland seasons. A fireplace warms the room on dark evenings.

SAUNA

An authentic Finnish sauna with dark timber walls and an electric stove — ready whenever you are, no firewood, no waiting. Step straight from the sauna onto the terrace: swim from the pier in summer, or roll in the snow in winter.

TERRACE & SHORE

A large terrace with an outdoor fireplace and grill, 15 metres from the water. There are no artificial lights in the yard, which is exactly why the northern lights look the way they do here. Your own private sand beach are steps away.

Willa Lumia sits in its own quiet on Lake Norvajärvi, a little above the Arctic Circle, yet everything in Rovaniemi is close:

Winter brings husky and reindeer safaris, snowmobiling, ice fishing and aurora hunting — all bookable nearby. Summer brings the midnight sun, swimming straight off your own beach, berry and mushroom forests, and evenings by the fire that never quite turn to night.

A rental car is the easiest way to enjoy the area, and parking is free and private at the villa, with an EV charging point on the wall. Taxis from the airport take about 15 minutes. Most tour operators in Rovaniemi offer pick-up.

The entire villa, sauna, terrace, garage and private shoreline are yours alone — no shared spaces, no other guests, no neighbours in sight.

• Willa Lumia is a home for quiet holidays and time in nature. We do not host stag/hen parties or other party groups, and events are not permitted.
• No pets, and the villa is entirely non-smoking.
• Check-in starting at 17:000, check-out by 11:00. Please let us know your estimated arrival time in advance.
• Children of all ages are welcome. Cots and extra beds are not available.
• Ice swimming, snow rolling and use of the lake are at your own risk.
• The northern lights are a natural phenomenon — we cannot promise them, but with no artificial light in the yard and a clear night, your odds here are excellent. September–March is the season.
