Yes. To drive you need a valid car driving licence (category B) and must be at least 18. Without a licence you ride as a passenger on a two-seater behind the guide or a licensed guest. More in our snowmobile safari guide.
Yes, it is designed for first-time drivers. The tour starts with a thorough introduction to handling, safety rules and riding technique, and the route follows groomed trails through the Arctic Circle forests.
Thermal suit, helmet, snowmobile, fuel, guided instruction and insurance are included. Wear warm layers, wool socks and winter boots underneath the suit and bring your driving licence.
About 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes on the trail. Departures run several times a day through the winter season, November to April.
Children cannot drive. Depending on their age they ride pillion with a licensed adult or in a sled towed behind the guide's snowmobile. Tell us their ages when booking and we will confirm what is possible. Travelling with young children? Our Family Snowmobile Safari has a heated children's sleigh.
Cancelling more than 7 days before is free. The fee is 50% from 7 days and 100% from 2 days before the tour. If we cancel a tour ourselves because of weather or safety, you are refunded in full.
