What is included in the private tour?

A dedicated guide and vehicle for your group only (1-8 guests), private pickup and drop-off at your accommodation, a personalised hunting plan, professional DSLR photos, hot drinks and snacks, and no time limit: we stay out as long as your group wants, within the 4-12 hour window.

Can we choose when to leave and where to go?

Yes. Your guide plans the night around your group: departure time, pace, how long to stay at each stop and whether to push further for a better sky. The route itself follows the live cloud and aurora data, because that is what finds the lights.

Is the private tour suitable for a proposal, honeymoon or family with small children?

Those are the most common reasons guests book it. Tell us in advance and the guide will plan the stops and the photos around the occasion.

What should I wear on a Northern Lights tour?

Three layers: a merino or synthetic base layer, a fleece or wool mid layer and a windproof insulated outer layer, plus wool socks, a warm hat, a neck gaiter and mittens. Read our packing list for Lapland tours. Winter clothing is not provided on our Northern Lights tours, so please come dressed for the cold. No warm gear? Rent a winter clothing set in Rovaniemi from 39€ a day. There are hot drinks at every stop.

Are the photos really included?

Yes. Your guide photographs you under the aurora with professional DSLR equipment at no extra cost, and the photos are shared with you after the tour. Bring your own camera too: our aurora photography tips explain the settings.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. If we cancel a tour ourselves because of weather or safety, you are refunded in full.
